The gaming corporation is a multi-million dollar industry. Electrical Gaming Devices started in the 60’s. From something like this,

TO...
They approached every aspect to make it the best; from sounds, to quality and interactivity to make the games appealing. They now include educational and medical activities so that parents can ensure that their kids are benefiting from. There are even games where you can physically interact with the electronic device.
(This video shows the newest X-BOX called Project Natal that lets you physically interact with the game to a whole new level)

In some cases, video games can teach kids about violence. A couple of months ago, I downloaded; no I meant bought the game Grand Theft Auto. For the people that have never heard of Grand Theft Auto, it’s a game where you work your way up to be a criminal leader. You steal cars, fight, and run away from the police and traffic drugs. Anyway, I played the game for a short period of time and I became very prosperous from selling drugs to minors. This game was addictive to play because I felt a real excitement to have police cars chase me around. After a month or so, I decided to delete the game because I was afraid the thrill would soon wear out and it would influence me to try drugs or steal cars in real life.
I feel that our technology is now at a point where it’s just too much. There are some things that don’t need to be changed. For example, why can’t we exercise at gyms or just outside. Instead, people turn to their Wii’s to exercise. We are at a stage where we rely on electrical devices on an everyday basis; from computers to video games. Why do we need to change our ways so drastically to something electronically involved?

I agree with you! People shouldn't always turn to technology. It's true that Wii can help a little towards our exercise, but we shouldn't rely on it. Exercise is meant for doing it at the gym or outside, where we can get fresh air and make new friends. I find that with technology, we're all becoming lazier and we're all relying on it more. On the other hand, it's really cool looking back at how our video games have evolved. I'm also really glad that you deleted that game! ;)
